Firefox 3.0 set the record for number of downloads

Popular free browser Mozilla Firefox 3.0 set a world record in number of downloads. This happened just 24 hours after the new "Red Fox" was officially released for download. From Tuesday 17 hours and 15 minutes (in GMT) to Wednesday in 17 hours and 15 minute version of the browser has been downloaded 8 349 074 times. People from over 200 countries have downloaded the program, but most were representatives of the United States, followed by Germany, Japan, Spain, Britain, France, Iran, Italy, Canada and Poland. At the time of Mozilla expect official approval for entry in the Guinness Book.
